About Us: YMCA of the Rockies is made up of two year-round family resorts and conference centers – Estes Park Center and Snow Mountain Ranch – and a traditional overnight summer camp for teens, Camp Chief Ouray. All are located in the heart of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains and offer a variety of affordable lodging options so families and groups can connect with each other and create lifelong memories. There are many reasons that guests choose to stay at one of YMCA of the Rockies’ locations. Every year, we host and serve more than 800 family reunions, 180,000 family vacationers, 1,200 conferences, 300 military families and 2,000 Camp Chief Ouray campers. Work agreements available up to 8 months. Spend your time working next to Rocky Mountain National Park. Housekeeping


 

The Housekeeper is responsible for having assigned cabins and lodge rooms cleaned by check-in time and to meet the expectations of the supervisors and guests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Clean cabins and lodge rooms

  • Clean lobbies and public areas

  • Must be able to take direction and work independently 

  • Efficiently clean guest accommodations including the following tasks: clean fireplaces, vacuum and dust, strip linens and make beds, wash windows, clean toilets, sinks and showers, empty trash, mop and sweep floors, and clean ovens, etc.

  • Work with various types of cleaning chemicals

  • Complete maid service in required rooms

  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs

 

Food Service


 

The Food Service Worker is responsible for providing guests with a positive dining experience. Employees rotate daily through a variety of specific duties as described below.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude toward guests and staff

  • Maintain sanitary work and dining areas, which exceed state health standards

  • Operate commercial food service equipment (i.e. dishwasher, slicer, and mixer)

  • Assist with meal preparation.

  • Keep service lines clean and fully stocked with food and supplies (plates, cups, etc.)

  • Clean dining tables

  • Wash dishes

  • Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors

  • Clean bathrooms

  • Able to stand for eight hours on concrete floors

  • Lift 35 pounds up to 36" off the ground

  • Able to understand instructions in English

 

Event Staff


 

This position supports the work of the YMCA of the Rockies, Estes Park Center, which operates a mission-based family and group conference and retreat center, serving more than 175,000 guests annually. The Conference Set-Up and Services Team Member is primarily responsible for impeccable guest service to conference groups through precise meeting room and Audio-Visual set-ups for 70+ event spaces. They must exhibit professional and friendly communication, prompt follow through on requests, maintain a high level of service, and maintain Center standards of cleanliness and detail execution.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Exhibit superior guest service abilities through clear, professional and friendly interactions with all guests and staff

  • Execute conference set-up orders accurately and in a time-sensitive manner and providing exceptional service to conference groups throughout their stay

  • Maintain the cleanliness of meeting room/ event spaces along with all restrooms associated with those spaces.

  • Possess stamina to work in the work environment described herein.

  • Possesses Physical stamina for strenuous work load with the ability to lift chairs, tables, and stage pieces. Have the ability to lift at least 50 lbs. and get in & out of trucks frequently throughout the day

  • Must be able to speak and write English.

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Ability to work cooperatively with others an diverse environment

  • Ability to thrive in a work environment that is never the same day twice, be self-motivated and take pride in a job well done
