Summer Crew Member
Position Overview: We are a small, family-owned canoe outfitting business located at the end of the Gunflint Trail, just outside the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. We're looking for enthusiastic, hardworking individuals to join our Voyageur Crew this summer. Our crew works closely together for the duration of the season, creating a supportive environment where you’ll form lasting friendships. The job requires a solid commitment, with crew members working 45-48 hours per week, as well as a minimum of 12 weeks commitment between May 1-October 1.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with a range of duties, including driving tow boats, packing food and gear, cleaning cabins and canoes, and helping customers in our store.
Provide exemplary customer service to guests visiting our resort and the BWCAW.
Be an integral part of the team, contributing to daily operations with a positive attitude and work ethic.

Cook
Position Overview: We are looking for two individuals or a couple with relevant experience who are interested in working as full time cooks for the duration of our season May- September. Our cook position involves planning and preparing 3 meals a day for our summer staff, preparing and serving breakfast to our canoe and resort guests, and maintaining a safe and clean kitchen. They may also assist in other areas as necessary including but not limited to preparing baked goods for our outfitting division and serving pizza and beer to customers in the main lodge . Our cooks have the flexibility to create their own schedule around mealtimes and work independently throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the resort's kitchen and meal offerings for guests and staff, being attentive to quality, consistency, budget parameters, and customer/staff dietary needs.
Follow Minnesota Department of Health regulations while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen and dining room environment.
Manage kitchen inventory and weekly ordering, being mindful of reducing food waste.
Provide exemplary customer service to guests visiting our resort and the BWCAW through guest engagement and hospitality.
Be an integral part of the team, contributing to daily operations with a positive attitude and work ethic. Work collaboratively with resort leadership to improve offerings and resolve issues.
Provide leadership for seasonal staff assisting with kitchen/dining room cleaning, serving, prep, etc.
Be adaptable and creative. Working in a remote location at a small resort means that being flexible, able to pivot, and resourceful are essential skills.
Exhibit exemplary punctuality and time management with food service, allowing guests and staff to stay on tight schedules with ease and comfortability.
