As a four-season resort, Sugarloaf offers seasonal and year-round employment in a variety of departments. We're gearing up for a big winter, so there are plenty of positions open for team members committed to providing our guests with great service, top-notch experiences, and lasting memories.
Lift Operators
Sugarloaf is now hiring Lift Operators and Shuttle drivers for the upcoming winter season. A Sugarloaf Lift Operator assists guests in getting on and off chair lifts by operating ski lifts, including inspecting and testing for safety before opening. Lift Operators also maintain corrals, ramps, and work areas by shoveling and raking snow. A Sugarloaf Lift Operator must be reliable, energetic, outgoing, and able to interact with guests in a friendly and fun manner. Our shuttle team of drivers are customer service orientated transporting our guests from parking to the resort village and informing guests of upcoming events and conditions on the mountain. These are both outdoor position and work occurs in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
Operate assigned lift in accordance with standard procedures and written or verbal instructions to provide safe uphill transportation for guests and employees
Assist with shoveling, raking snow, and chopping ice on a regular basis to maintain proper ramps, corrals, and work areas
Assist with the inspection of the lift prior to operational start up, which includes emptying trash containers, continually checking the status of information boards, filling tissue dispensers, and assisting in the daily checking of switches, chairs, and grips.
Advise and assist guests as needed in a courteous manner
Communicate problems to supervisors and lift mechanics, while showing initiative in handling routine matters and emergencies
Meet service level objectives and department goals as set forth by immediate supervisor
Mechanics
Sugarloaf is hiring mechanics in for our vehicle maintenance and lift maintenance teams. Our team of mechanics are a small group invested in the service, repair and safety of our equipment, whether on the road or transporting our guest up the mountain. These are year round positions with benefits. Lift mechanics need to be physically-fit, enjoy the elements and working outside in all weather conditions day or night. Vehicle mechanics will be servicing and repairing the resort fleet of vehicles, shuttles, groomers, snowmobiles and other equipment.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the maintenance of vehicles including, but not limited to, light and medium duty trucks, lift maintenance, snow machines, mowers, small engines, and snowmaking equipment
Assist in the maintenance of ATV’s, welders, chainsaws, pumps, and other small engine type equipment
