Hiring:
General Counselor
Position Overview:
The General Counselor is a vital part of the camp staff, responsible for providing a safe, fun, and engaging experience for campers. Counselors will live in a bunk with campers, supervise activities, and help ensure each camper enjoys their time at camp while promoting positive relationships and personal growth. The role requires enthusiasm, leadership, and a commitment to creating a memorable experience for every camper.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the camp’s purpose, goals, and objectives, helping campers make the most of their experience.
Build strong relationships with each camper, fostering a positive group dynamic and helping manage individual needs.
Guide campers in developing mutual respect, teamwork, and cooperation within the bunk.
Supervise and participate in bunk housekeeping duties, including daily cleanup, towel/linen exchange, and general cleanliness.
Monitor shower schedules and ensure proper camper hygiene.
Make sure campers are dressed appropriately and equipped for their daily activities and special programs.
Organize and lead bunk-specific activities, including on- and off-camp trips.
Enforce camp rules and uphold safety standards in the bunk environment.
Participate in On Duty shifts to ensure camper safety during non-activity hours.
Contribute to camper assessments and written reports.
Assist with setting up and closing down the bunk at the beginning and end of the season, including helping campers unpack and pack their trunks.
Accompany and supervise campers during all activities, including specialty programs and meal times, ensuring safety, engagement, participation, and positive connections.
Participate in camp-wide events, evening activities, and assist in other camp areas as needed.
Support camp operations with additional duties as assigned by Camp Directors.
Archery Instructor
Position Overview:
The Archery Instructor is responsible for planning, leading, and executing a safe, fun, and educational archery program for campers ranging in age from 6 to 15. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent instructional skills, and enthusiasm for working with children in an outdoor camp setting. The instructor will teach all participants the basic skills of archery and always strictly follow all camp and national safety rules. The instructor is required to live in-bunk, typically assigned to a specific age group of campers for the duration of the summer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety of all campers by strictly enforcing camp and national safety protocols and providing active supervision on the range at all times.
Plan, deliver, and adjust progressive daily archery lessons suitable for various skill levels, focusing on form, aiming, and scoring.
Inspect and maintain all bows, arrows, and safety gear before and after each session.
Serve as a positive role model, embodying camp values and participating in day and evening activities.
In-bunk responsibilities:
Provide direct care, build positive relationships with campers, and supervise daily bunk life, including enforcing rules and facilitating housekeeping and personal responsibilities.
Participate in On Duty shifts to ensure camper safety during non-activity hours.
Assist with setting up and closing down the bunk at the beginning and end of the season, including helping campers unpack and pack their trunks.

Horseback Riding Instructor
Position Overview:
The Horseback Riding Instructor works directly with the Horseback Riding Director to deliver a safe, high quality equestrian program. This role involves planning and teaching riding lessons and horsemanship skills to campers of all experience levels, leading group trail rides, and providing daily care for the camp horses. Strong horsemanship and dedication to camper well-being are essential, requiring the Instructor to prioritize safety, build skills and confidence, and actively participate in the overall camp community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan and lead daily riding lessons and organized trail rides for campers across all skill levels (beginner through advanced).
Teach safe riding techniques, horse care, and comprehensive horsemanship fundamentals to small groups of campers.
Perform daily horse care duties, including grooming, feeding assistance, tacking/untacking, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the barn and stable area.
Ensure safety during all equestrian activities and assisting in emergency response procedures.
Create engaging, age-appropriate equestrian activities to foster skill development and bonding with horses.
Assist the Horseback Riding Director with program setup, equipment inspection, tack maintenance, and general barn management tasks.
Participate in camp events, evening activities, and perform additional duties as assigned by the Camp Directors or Horseback Riding Director to support overall camp operations.
Woodworking Instructor
Position Overview:
The Woodworking Instructor creates and runs a woodworking program that is safe, helpful, and fun for campers aged 6 to 15. This job requires a major focus on safety, great organizing skills, and excitement for teaching basic woodworking fundamentals. The instructor will teach every camper tool safety and simple building skills whilst following all camp and woodworking safety rules. The instructor is required to live in-bunk, typically assigned to a specific age group of campers for the duration of the summer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety of all campers by strictly enforcing tool usage protocols, safety gear requirements, and providing active supervision in the woodshop at all times.

Photographer
The camp Photographer is responsible for creatively documenting the campers and their entire camp experience, including activities, special events, daily life at camp and staff, to capture the camp's spirit and energy. This role requires technical photography skills, reliable equipment management, and strong organizational ability to process and upload hundreds of high-quality images daily.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Proactively seeking out and capturing high-quality, candid, and action-oriented photographs of campers and staff participating in a wide variety of daily activities and events.
Sorting, editing (color correction, cropping), organizing, and promptly uploading a large volume of images daily to the designated online platform (e.g. parent photo gallery, camp internal drive).
Maintaining and managing all photography equipment, ensuring gear is clean, charged, secured, and functional, and backing up all raw files regularly.
Working closely with the Photo director to ensure coverage of specific key activities, age groups, and special moments needed for promotional use.
Adhering strictly to all camp rules regarding camper privacy, photo release forms, and safety protocols when moving around the grounds or photographing sensitive moments.
Serving as a positive role model and participating in the overall camp community, assisting with general duties or evening programs as requested by Camp Directors.
Swim Instructor
The Swim Instructor teaches swimming, handles water safety, and watches campers during all water activities at the camp's lakefront. This job needs current, certified life-saving skills, patience, and a positive attitude for teaching kids of all ages. The Instructor works closely with the Waterfront Director to run the daily swim program safely and positively for every camper. The instructor is required to live in-bunk, typically assigned to a specific age group of campers for the duration of the summer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan and lead swimming lessons for small groups of campers based on age and skill level, using established curriculum and focusing on stroke technique and water comfort.
Maintain constant supervision of all swimmers and the waterfront area. Respond immediately and effectively to emergencies in compliance with certification training and camp emergency action plans.
Assist the Waterfront Director with daily tasks, including opening and closing safety checks, placing and securing rescue equipment, and maintaining the cleanliness of the waterfront area.
Conduct swim testing and ongoing skill assessments to accurately place campers in appropriate instructional groups and track their progress throughout the summer.
Inspect and maintain all instructional equipment (kickboards, noodles, safety vests) and ensure necessary supplies are ready for all scheduled lessons.
Serve as a visible and positive role model for campers and staff, adhering to all camp policies, and participating in camp-wide activities and residential duties as assigned.

This job requires strong boat driving skills (PV license exam to be taken before camp start date) expertise in instruction, and a positive attitude for teaching campers of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced riders. The Instructor works closely with the Waterfront Director to run the daily waterski program, ensuring all equipment is well-maintained and that all activity runs smoothly and securely. The instructor is required to live in-bunk, typically assigned to a specific age group of campers for the duration of the summer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan and lead progressive lessons for waterskiing and wakeboarding, coaching campers on technique, safety signals, and getting up successfully.
Maintain constant supervision of all participants in the water and boat, ensuring all safety protocols (including correct use of PFDs) are strictly followed.
Safely operate the waterski boat, maintaining appropriate speed and awareness of the surrounding environment, as directed and authorized by the Waterfront Director and the national safety protocols.
Assist the Waterfront Director with daily tasks, including cleaning, and inspecting the waterski boat, ropes, and all towable equipment.
Conduct skill assessments and track camper progress, providing constructive and encouraging feedback to help build confidence on the water.
Inspect and maintain all instructional equipment (skis, bindings, boards, life jackets) and ensure necessary supplies are ready for all scheduled lessons.
Serve as a visible and positive role model for campers and staff, adhering to all camp policies, and participating in camp-wide activities and residential duties as assigned.

They lead creative water games, and supervise general leisure paddling. This role requires patience, strong instructional skills, and a major commitment to safety. The Instructor works closely with the Waterfront Director to manage the boating and canoeing operations and ensure all activities are fun, safe, and educational for every camper. The instructor is required to live in-bunk, typically assigned to a specific age group of campers for the duration of the summer.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Teach core paddling techniques for canoes and kayaks, including proper grip, stroke correction, steering, docking, and tipping/self-rescue procedures, tailored to different skill levels.
Design and lead engaging water games and activities during leisure paddling sessions, actively supervising all participants and watercraft in the designated areas.
Maintain constant supervision of all participants and watercraft, ensuring all safety protocols (including correct use of PFDs) are strictly followed.
Assist the Waterfront Director with daily tasks, including the launching, retrieval, cleaning, and securing of all canoes, kayaks, and rowboats.
Providing positive and specific feedback to help campers gain confidence and proficiency on the water.
Inspect, maintain, and report any necessary repairs for all boating equipment, including paddles, life jackets, and safety lines.
Manage the organized flow of campers and equipment at the boat launch area to ensure efficient transition between groups.
