Host


 

Main Goal: Hosts help guests have their best time while at the park by maintaining great customer service from check-in time to the moment they leave. 

 

Responsibilities and Requirements (not limited to)

  • Must be 16+

  • Comfortable talking with people and presenting to groups

  • Adept at computer systems

  • Able to work at a fast pace 

  • Patient and cool under time pressure

 

Ground Team Monitor


 

Main Goal:  The ground team monitors are the lifeguards of the Adventure park.   They are responsible for ensuring the safest and most rewarding experience for each guest.

 

Responsibilities and Requirements (not limited to)

  • Must be 16+

  • Able to lead safety briefings for up to 20 guests at a time, multiple times a day

  • Focus on details and safety while harnessing guests to ensure proper fit

  • Monitor and advise climbers on the course

  • Anticipate problems before they occur 

 

Air Team Monitor


 

Main Goal:  The Air team monitors are trained and certified in assisting guests on the high ropes course and ziplines.  They monitor guest abilities and behaviors to anticipate and prevent issues. They also assist guests who get stuck on a course or zipline.

 

Responsibilities and Requirements (not limited to)

  • Must be 18+

  • Able to keep calm while under pressure

  • Comfortable working in the air

  • Excellent attention to detail especially around safety  

  • Skilled at focusing on guest’s needs up in the air

  • Willing to coach guests to help them navigate the course

 

Axe Throwing Coach


 

Main Goal: Coaches are enthusiastic and customer service oriented.  They are responsible for creating a fun and safe atmosphere, explaining safety guidelines, and ensuring all guests have a wonderful experience.   

 

Responsibilities and Requirements (not limited to)

  • Must be 16+

  • Be comfortable enforcing all safety rules and coaching guests to help them improve their skills

  • Interest in helping guests learn new skills to keep their experience lively and challenging

 

Assistant Manager


 

Main Goal: The Assistant Manager is part of the leadership team.  They are responsible for performing the daily tasks and procedures of the park and directing/ managing the daily operations of park staff.  The park supervisor reports directly to the park manager.  

 

Responsibilities and Requirements (not limited to)

  • Must be 18+

  • Able to work a full time varied schedule

  • Have strong leadership skills and/or confidence in leading others  

  • Comfort working at height preferred but not required 

  • Able to multitask and oversee several aspects of operations simultaneously

  • Quick and independent learner who can adapt to new situations easily

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

We are located on Minnesota’s North Shore of Lake Superior.  The area is treasured for its clean, natural beauty, and endless opportunities for outdoor adventure.  See our photos and videos below  for more detail.  

We offer competitive compensation and employee perks like free climbing at the park.  Rooms for rent within walking distance are available. Wages start at $15/hr up to $20/hr based on experience. We offer raises and bonuses based on performance. Open Mid-May through late October with employment options for the entire season or partial. High seasons July-Labor Day. Weekend only jobs are available  September and October but we value employees who can stay with us the entire season.  . 

Ability or interest in climbing is NOT a prerequisite for working at the park.  All jobs are outdoors and we work in all kinds of weather, typically on our feet and moving. 

We provide all training 

Our team is confident and capable in all aspects of their roles before interacting with guests. CPR and First Aid certification is provided. Prior high-ropes or zipline experience is not required but can be a benefit.  Most positions (except air team) are cross trained so employees serve in several roles.  Applicants should be: 

  • Dedicated to customer service

  • Enjoy working on a team. 

  • Confident in coaching and teaching 

  • Like to work with people of all ages and backgrounds

  • Able to lift up to 35 lbs

HOUSING

Housing is in small 2 to 3 bedroom park rental homes in town. They are all walking distance to the park. We host couples in one room and same gender singles in single or double rooms, depending on availability. Monthly rent is about $495, including utilities.
