We’re a small, well-established lodging/ bike rental business in the beautiful Chugach Mountains on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska. Overlooking the Kenai River with mountains towering all around us! World class fishing and hiking within minutes! We run 3 vacation rental units and a mountain bike rental business with about 40 bikes.
Our candidates need to be dependable, fast learners, able to follow directions and have good focus; of course, a good attitude is important as well as good people skills to interact with our guests. We offer a unique, supportive environment where we strive to have a working relationship that fosters a mutually respectful friendship; we realize the benefits of treating our employees as we would like to be treated. Good communication, good attitude and good work ethic are essential; just as important is the willingness to do a wide variety of tasks and a flexible schedule. Taking on other jobs in the area is fine if the duties with us are covered; there is plenty of work available locally. Don’t forget to have fun! We encourage taking the time and opportunity to enjoy this Alaskan playground that surrounds us! There are all kinds of rafting, fishing, hiking, biking, kayaking and more nearby!
Amazing summer opportunity for the adventurous couple that is self-motivated, willing to help with a diversity of maintenance needs and can enjoy living in a wall tent in the forest!
Duties Include but not limited to:
Housekeeping/turnovers
Bike cleaning and maintenance (tech knowledge helpful)
Yardwork & gardening
Willing to use a chainsaw or learn how
Dog care and husky puppy care when owners are gone (we foster Iditarod puppies!)
Applicants must:
have a driver’s license
be detail oriented
be self motivated
honest
reliable and trustworthy
be personable and helpful to guests
be clean and show good personal hygiene.
be able to climb stairs and lift 50#
be willing to live in an alternative housing situation. Laundry and showers available on site!
Use of vehicle and bike offered! Willing to help with travel expenses depending on commitment. Wall tent housing is provided with a partial work trade. This position is best suited for a couple for a variety of reasons, so please, only couples apply. Looking for late May to late August-early September
