Transportation Manager


 

Grand Targhee Resort is hiring a Transportation Manager to lead and oversee all resort transportation operations, including daily employee/guest shuttles, airport transfers, and the RIDE GTR program. This leadership role involves supervising a team of drivers, developing schedules, ensuring regulatory compliance, and occasionally stepping in as a driver. As a Targhee ambassador, you'll help create a welcoming and safe experience for all resort guests and staff.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Wyoming Class B CDL with passenger endorsement

  • High school diploma or GED; 1–3 years of related experience preferred

  • Proven supervisory and training experience

  • Strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in varied outdoor conditions 

 

Shuttle Driver


 

Grand Targhee Resort is seeking a Shuttle Driver to safely transport guests and employees between designated areas in Teton Valley, Idaho and the resort. This position requires a professional, guest-focused attitude and safe driving practices at all times. You’ll perform daily vehicle inspections, log ridership, and serve as a resort ambassador during every shift.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Class C CDL with passenger endorsement

  • At least 25 years old

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Clean driving record and commitment to safety procedures

 

 

Cook 1


 

Grand Targhee Resort is hiring a Line Cook to prepare, cook, and present quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen. You'll follow recipes, maintain high food safety standards, and ensure timely service for guests. As a Targhee ambassador, your role is key in creating a positive guest experience through both food and hospitality.

Key Qualifications:

  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in a commercial kitchen

  • Basic knowledge of food prep, handling, and sanitation

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods

  • Valid food handler’s card

 

Cook II


 

The Cook II acts as a kitchen lead, ensuring staff follows procedures and maintains food quality and safety standards. This role involves cooking, plating, and maintaining cleanliness, while supporting a fast-paced kitchen during high guest volume. The position also assists with staff training, scheduling, and providing breaks.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a restaurant kitchen

  • Strong understanding of cooking methods, safety, and sanitation standards

  • Ability to work various line stations and prepare all menu items

  • Food handler’s card required

  • Must lift/move up to 50 lbs and work in high-heat, fast-paced environments

 

Cook III


 

This leadership role supports the culinary team in delivering high-quality food service while maintaining safety, sanitation, and professional kitchen standards. The Lead Line Cook acts as kitchen supervisor in the Chef’s absence, assists with menu development, inventory, training, and ensures operations run smoothly during high-volume periods.

Key Qualifications:

  • 2+ years in a lead cook or culinary supervisor role at a high-volume or rated establishment

  • Strong knowledge of food prep, kitchen sanitation, and equipment use

  • Ability to support and train team members, and act as kitchen MOD

  • Must lift/move up to 100 lbs and work in a fast-paced, hot kitchen environment

  • Food handler’s card preferred

Sous Chef


 

Support the daily operations of the kitchen and lead the culinary team in delivering high-quality food service. Supervise staff, assist with training, scheduling, inventory, and menu planning. Maintain kitchen cleanliness and safety standards while promoting an engaging guest experience. Serve as acting lead in the absence of the Village Chef and Executive Sous Chef.
Key Qualifications:
• 6 months to 1 year of experience in culinary or food service leadership
• Strong working knowledge of food safety, handling, and preparation standards

Youth Programs Manager


 

Assist in overseeing Grand Targhee’s licensed childcare facility and summer youth camp programs, including developing programming, supervising staff, and directly engaging with children as needed. Ensure safe, enriching, and developmentally appropriate care and activities for children aged 1–12.


Key Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field preferred
• 1+ years of experience in childcare programming or a combination of education and experience
• Must be at least 21 years of age and pass a background check
• Current child/infant CPR and First Aid certifications
• Knowledge of Wyoming childcare regulations and licensing requirements
• Physically able to lift 50 pounds and work in variable weather conditions
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Wyoming Infant/Toddler Credential required (or must be obtained)

 

Summer Youth MTB Camp Counselor


 

Join the Grand Targhee summer team as a Mountain Bike Camp Counselor, leading children ages 6–12 through fun, skill-based mountain biking adventures. This hands-on role focuses on safety, mentorship, and creating a supportive and exciting outdoor environment while delivering themed programming and building lasting camper connections.

Key Qualifications:

  • Must be 17 years or older

  • Prior experience working with children (camp, education, or recreation preferred)

  • Advanced mountain biking and instruction skills required

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities

  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • Must be available for two full weeks in July plus training

  • Ability to pass a background check and work outdoors in physically active settings

 

Summer Camp Counselor


 

Lead and supervise children ages 6–12 in outdoor summer camp programs focused on hiking, biking, arts, swimming, and nature-based activities. Ensure camper safety, promote inclusion, and create an engaging, fun environment through weekly themed adventures.


Key Qualifications:
• Previous experience working with children in recreational or educational settings
• Passion for outdoor activities and strong leadership skills
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before camp begins)
• Must be 18 years or older and pass a background check
• Able to hike, swim, bike, and participate in physically active outdoor programming
• Available for full camp season (June 13 – Sept 14) including training and occasional weekends
• Intermediate mountain biking and horse comfort preferred
• Lifeguard certification a plus

 

Kid’s Club Attendant


 

Provide direct care for children ages 1–6 in a safe and engaging environment. Responsibilities include creating fun activities, monitoring behavior, supporting basic care needs (feeding, diapering, resting), and maintaining a clean facility. Also responsible for communication with parents, performing cashiering duties, and ensuring compliance with childcare health and safety standards.
Key Qualifications:
• Experience working with young children (infants to school-aged)
• Must be at least 18 years old and pass background check/fingerprinting
• Current or pending CPR/First Aid certification (within 1 month of hire)
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet in active, noisy environments
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Patient, energetic, and creative with a passion for working with kids

 

Bike Mechanic


 

Assist guests with bike rentals, repairs, and retail purchases while delivering top-tier customer service. Duties include tuning and servicing bikes, fitting gear, providing trail information, operating POS systems, and maintaining the shop area.


Key Qualifications:
• Strong mechanical knowledge of bikes and experience with bike service/repair
• Guest service or retail experience required
• Ability to operate a POS system and handle payments accurately
• Knowledge of local/regional biking trails
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor
• Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Willingness to cross-train and support retail staff as needed

 

Lead Bike Mechanic


 

Provide expert-level bike service, assist guests with rentals and retail purchases, and deliver exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include tuning bikes, fitting gear, guiding guests on trail info, and operating the POS system while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.

• Strong mechanical knowledge of bikes and bike accessories
• Guest service and retail experience required
• Skilled in bike repair, tuning, and safety checks
• Familiarity with local and regional biking trails
• Ability to accurately operate POS systems and handle payments

Retail Manager


 

The Retail & Rental Manager oversees year-round operations of Habitat Retail and Rentals, supporting buying, inventory, merchandising, and staff management. This role balances hands-on retail work with leadership, ensuring excellent guest service and efficient daily operations. As a Targhee ambassador, you'll foster a welcoming experience for all resort guests.

Key Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of retail or rental management experience

  • Previous supervisory and cash-handling experience required

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Proficiency with computers; POS system experience preferred

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience

 

Retail Sales Clerk


 

This guest-facing role involves selling outdoor recreational items—such as ski/snowboard apparel, accessories, and bikes—while providing outstanding customer service and maintaining a friendly, knowledgeable presence. Associates are responsible for running registers, managing inventory, and promoting a positive shopping experience as resort ambassadors.

Key Qualifications:

  • Previous cash handling and customer service experience required

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with a team

  • Basic math and POS register proficiency

  • Must be flexible to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts in a fast-paced, outdoor-oriented environment

 

General Store Cashier

Summer Mountain Crew 1


 

As a Summer Ski Trail & Mountain Maintenance Worker, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving ski trails, as well as participating in mountain improvement projects like vegetation control and sign replacement. This job requires outdoor work in all weather conditions and the use of various hand and power tools.

Key Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in physical labor, landscaping, and use of hand/power tools

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally

  • Familiarity with machinery like skid steers, forklifts, and ATVs/UTVs preferred

  • Strong safety awareness and ability to follow safety protocols

 

Summer Mountain Crew 2


 

Support summer ski trail upkeep and mountain improvement efforts with a focus on safety, guest interaction, and hands-on labor. Operate machinery, perform chainsaw work, and assist in general maintenance across varied outdoor terrain in all weather conditions.


Key Qualifications:
• Experience operating machinery (skid steers, forklifts, loaders, ATVs/UTVs)
• Skilled with chainsaws, including basic maintenance and safe operation
• Comfortable working in all weather and hiking steep terrain
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs consistently and up to 100 lbs occasionally
• Familiarity with Grand Targhee’s topography and trail network
• Experience in carpentry or mechanical repair preferred
• Strong teamwork and self-motivation
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record

 

Summer Mountain Crew 3


 

As a Summer Maintenance Worker, you'll be responsible for maintaining ski trails and improving mountain infrastructure, including using equipment like skid steers, forklifts, and chainsaws. The role also involves physical labor, including lifting heavy objects, clearing brush, and working in outdoor conditions, ensuring the safety of both employees and guests at all times.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience operating machinery (skid steers, forklifts, loaders, chainsaws)

  • Skilled in physical labor (lifting 50+ pounds, handling heavy machinery)

  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and on steep mountain terrain

  • Knowledge of mountain topography and trail management

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record

  • Carpentry and mechanical repair experience a plus

 

Vehicle Maintenance Technician


 

Assist in the repair and routine maintenance of snowcats, ATVs, trucks, snowmobiles, and other equipment in a professional facility with a new fleet rotation. Perform basic services, document work, and support the mechanical team in keeping the resort’s vehicle systems running safely and smoothly.


Key Qualifications:
• Experience with vehicle maintenance and repair (gas and diesel engines)
• Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and small engine mechanics
• Ability to perform routine services (oil changes, grease jobs, basic diagnostics)
• Valid driver’s license required
• Comfortable working in a loud, outdoor-oriented environment with exposure to the elements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Must have basic hand tools and mechanical aptitude
• High school diploma or GED required; mechanical training a plus

 

Public Area Attendant


 

Ensure a clean and welcoming environment across all public resort areas including lobbies, restrooms, and conference spaces. Responsible for laundry operations including washing, drying, and folding linens, while serving as a guest-facing ambassador to uphold the resort’s cleanliness and hospitality standards.


Key Qualifications:
• Prior custodial or housekeeping experience preferred
• Able to lift 25 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and bending for long periods
• Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
• Available to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays

 

Room Attendant


 

Maintain clean and comfortable guest accommodations in the resort's lodging areas by performing room turnovers, restocking supplies, and ensuring high cleanliness standards. Support the housekeeping team with laundry duties and help create a positive guest experience through friendly, detail-oriented service.

Key Qualifications:

• Prior custodial or housekeeping experience preferred

• Able to lift 25 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and bending for long periods

• Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently

• Available to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays

 

Night Auditor


 

Provide friendly, efficient overnight service to lodging guests including check-in, check-out, phone support, and handling inquiries. Run nightly audit reports, process payments, and maintain a welcoming presence at the front desk. Uphold the resort’s commitment to exceptional hospitality and guest satisfaction while working independently during nighttime hours.

Key Qualifications:

• Previous front desk or customer service experience a plus
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Basic computer proficiency (reservations systems, Word, Excel)
• Comfortable working night shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage guest concerns professionally
• Familiarity with resort operations and willingness to cross-sell services
