Hiring:

This position is for a seasonal Grand Canyon backpacking guide from September 2026 - Early November 2026. This position is currently offered as a seasonal position but depending on fit and availability could turn into a longer-term guiding position. As a backpacking guide, you are responsible for the safety and overall experience of your clients while out hiking in the Grand Canyon. You must have an Arizona Food handlers card, clean driving record, active Wilderness First Responder Certification, DOT driving physical completed prior to guiding. It is not required to have previous Grand Canyon experience but a minimum of 1 year guiding experience is preferred. Guide duties include:

• Providing knowledgeable information and interpretation about the areas you are hiking through

• Being personable and keeping guest moral high throughout the hike

• Ensuring safety of all guests throughout the hike

• Monitoring hikers to provide support as needed and medical attention when required

• Helping setup and breakdown camp

• Providing instruction to hikers on how to best pack and carry their packs

• Cooking and cleaning for all meals on the trip

• Prepping and packing out your tours

• Acting as a liaison between the company and park rangers on tour when necessary

• Being a good steward of the natural resources and locations that we operate in by following LNT principals

• Driving to and from trailheads as necessary
