Responsibilities 

  • Produce accurate and concise banquet catering event orders.

  • Coordinate property menu tastings.

  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships with clients, group services and F&B departments. Work in a team environment and communicate with all Shenandoah departments on sales matters relevant to each property area, and distribute timely communications relating to planning and execution of group or contracted functions.

  • Cross promote other units within the division.

  • Prepare weekly sales and activity reports as required by management.

  • Implement sales tactics as directed in order to achieve the goals and objectives of each unit as directed by the Director of Sales.

  • Participate at relevant meetings and client events as directed by management.

  • Arrange, plan and be present on-site during contracted events to assist in the operational management of events as determined by Director of Sales and Property Manager

Qualifications 

  • Experience in the Hotel or Hospitality industry preferred.  Catering Sales experience preferred and a plus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills required.

  • Expected to speak, present and communicate frequently in a public setting.

  • Knowledge of Opera and Delphi systems a plus.

  • Knowledge of food and beverage menu planning, audio visual set up requirements preferred.

  • Ability to analyze data and make decisions.

  • Financial skills preferred.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-drive environment.

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time

  • Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel

  • Ability to lift, balance, and move up to 35 pounds

Responsibilities 

  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize public areas, rooms, and restrooms; empty wastebaskets and transport trash to disposal area; replenish supplies

  • Conduct walk-around of assigned areas to ensure the facility meets housekeeping standards; ensure all linen rooms and work areas are neat, clean, and organized

  • Interact with and assist guests on occasion while cleaning guest and meeting rooms

  • Report maintenance repair problems to supervisor

  • Ensure all lost and found items are turned in and logged daily

Qualifications 

  • Limited to no experience required; previous commercial cleaning or guest service experience preferred

  • Working knowledge of various cleaning utensils, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools, and fixtures

  • Ability to work quickly under pressure and follow instructions

  • Ability to make simple addition and subtraction calculations

  • No high school diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements 

  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing of stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and carrying; use of hands to operate cleaning equipment and complete scrubbing/washing duties

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
