Want to work one in one of the most unique and beautiful places in the world? Dead Horse Point State Park, located just thirty miles from downtown Moab, Utah, is hiring three park ranger aides to complete our crew for the 2025 season! The term will last from late August through the end of November, with possible extension into the winter. This is an excellent and well-rounded entry level position for career advancement in the field of parks and recreation.

$18 per hour

Job duties include…

  • Collecting fees at the park’s entrance station

  • Staffing the visitor center information desk and retail counter.

  •  Conducting campground reservations and check-ins.

  •  Conducting opening and closing procedures of park facilities, including end-of-    shift accounting duties.

  • Cleaning and maintenance of park restrooms, yurts, facilities, and grounds   (including trail work).   

  •  Interpretive and educational programming.

  •  Assisting in search and rescue activities.

Previous park experience is not required. However, we are looking for someone with at least one year of experience in a customer service and/or cash handling-related field.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age in order to operate a state vehicle.

We provide free employee housing in the form of two-bedroom, fully furnished apartments that are shared with one other person. All utilities are also provided free of charge. Please note that we can only provide housing for those employed at the park. Couple’s and family housing is not provided.
