CHI Fuel Technician

Coastal Helicopters is looking for a Fuel Technician. Primary function is to fuel company helicopters to keep operations running smoothly and on time.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
Benefits:
Full-time seasonal (March-October) with an opportunity for year round based on performance;
$20-$24 p/hour; shift work, weekends and overtime as needed
Responsibilities:
Operates fuel vehicles on the airfield in the refueling of aircraft, helicopters and vehicles;
Operates fuel vehicles on the airfield in accordance with the Juneau Airport regulations;
Proper tracking of fuel pumped per individual aircraft and/or company;
Conducts preventive maintenance on fuel vehicles to avoid unnecessary repairs and/or downtime;
Communicates effectively with Pilots & Operations via handheld and in person;
Required to work in all weather conditions
Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Must be able to pass airport security requirements to acquire a Juneau Airport Badge;
Mechanical abilities desired;
Must be able climb in and out of fuel trucks continually;
Valid driver license is required and driving record must conform to company standards;
CDL not required but preferred;
High School diploma or GED equivalent required;
Pre-employment drug screen is mandatory and the position is subject to random drug and alcohol testing
Parts Room Assistant

Schedule: 40 hrs/week Wednesday-Sunday (summer hours 4pm-1am; winter hours 8am-5pm) OR 40 hrs/week Saturday-Wednesday (summer hours 4pm-1am; winter hours 8am-5pm)
Compensation: Starting at $20/hour
General Description:
Assist Parts & Logistics Manager in maintaining parts room inventory by keeping parts tracking system (Quantum) updated.
Take physical inventory of parts regularly to maintain accuracy of inventory database
Put away received parts after they have been approved & signed by a licensed A&P Mechanic
Retrieve parts and specialized tools for mechanics
Pick up shop supplies when needed
Keep the parts room clean
Maintain organization
Take out trash and sweep

Requirements:
Ability to use Google Suite products
Basic math skills
Ability to use spreadsheets a plus
High School Diploma

Ability to lift 50lbs
Experience with maintaining inventory a plus

Compensation:
$24-$26/hour DOE
General Description:
Answer phones and schedule flights
Complete passenger manifests for all passenger flights
Flight follows all company aircraft using company radios, telephones, and satellite tracking
Maintain flight following log on all radio communication with company aircraft
Monitor freight and baggage for hazardous materials and assist customers with completion of HAZMAT forms
Follow instructions contained in the Operations Manual and the EAP for overdue aircraft
Post current weather and disseminate any significant changes that may occur throughout the day
May initiate and terminate flights
Assist pilots in determining en-route and destination weather
Perform other duties as assigned
