For summer 2026 we're seeking Activity Instructors who are at least 18 years old, love spending time with children and have experience waterskiing and driving a ski boat, playing and coaching tennis and/or sailing small boats. Experience working collaboratively as part of a team is helpful. Camp will provide you with a practical, meaningful experience to build your self-confidence and your resume. If you are enthusiastic, spirited, and ready to serve as both a guide and a role model to our camper’s let’s talk!

 

Wilderness Trip Leaders

The primary responsibility is to guide camper wilderness canoeing and mountain climbing trips of 2 to 4 days in the White Mountain National Forest and Maine wilderness.  We are seeking individuals who are passionate about spending time in nature and have experience leading wilderness trips. While at camp, you will spend most of every week out of camp guiding these trips.  While in camp female staff live in cabins with campers, male staff live in separate housing and both are integral parts of the close Walden community. Candidates should have experience guiding wilderness trips with young people. Camp will provide Wilderness First Aid certification.  

 

Tennis Professional/Department Head

The primary responsibility of the Tennis Professional/Department Head is to run Walden’s tennis program. This includes planning the tennis curriculum, scheduling intra- and inter-camp tennis competitions, teaching tennis, supervising six tennis coaches, and maintaining the tennis courts. Experience as a competitive tennis player is helpful.

Dates: June 16- August 15
Salary: $2600 plus room, board, laundry, transportation and generous time off.
Paid onsite training for American Red Cross Lifeguarding, Wilderness First Aid, WSI, and Adventure Course Certificate
