Our arts program spans a wide variety of disciplines, and our campers are encouraged to foster their creative energies and apply themselves towards projects! Staff should be comfortable working with multiple medium.

Its challenge by choice at Danbee! Our girls push themselves and face their fears on our Giant Swing, Zip line, Climbing Wall, and Challenge Course. Our facilitators guide our campers to communicate effectively and work together to solve problems and overcome their fears.

Activities: Climbing, High and Low Ropes Course

Pottery is one of the most popular programs at Danbee. Our girls enjoy getting their hands dirty while learning to use clay in many different ways. Through the guidance of our talented Director of Pottery, our girls can use one of our five pottery wheels to learn how to throw a bowl or vase. They will also be taught the art of sculpture and free-hand work with the clay.

Working on Lake Ashmere is an unforgettable experience. We encourage all campers to participate in waterfront activities! Waterski staff work with the most modern equipment to teach skiing, including Four Malibu boats. Sailboats include Sunfish.

Activities: Canoeing, Sailing, Swimming, Waterskiing, Stand-Up Paddleboarding, Kayaking, Wakeboarding, Knee boarding.

At Danbee we provide high level instruction to campers who have a desire to improve in a skill area, but first and foremost we have FUN.  Previous experience and the ability to work with all skill levels and ages is important, but more so is a healthy, positive attitude toward children and the sport.

Activities: Basketball, Lacrosse, Gymnastics, Fitness, Volleyball, Softball, Field Hockey, Soccer, Flag Football, and more!

Our USPTA certified Tennis Director oversees a staff of college-level players. Talented instructors teach on our twelve all-weather tennis courts, half of which are equipped with overhead lights for night play. Tennis classes emphasize sharpening ground strokes, volleys and serves, and improving consistency through quality individualized instruction. Classes for all age and skill levels are offered every day. In addition, for tennis enthusiasts, the Danbee Tennis Academy offers private lessons and Junior Development classes.  

The Group Leaders at Camp Danbee serve as the backbone of the camp, playing a crucial role in ensuring smooth cabin life and campers' success. Under the direction of the Camp Directors, you are in charge of one of seven divisions at Camp Danbee. You are responsible for the total well-being of all the campers and staff within your respective age group. You are expected to create a safe and nurturing environment for the campers and staff by dealing with physical, emotional, and social issues throughout the summer. In this demanding and multifaceted position, you will manage a group of 40-60 children, oversee staff members, and collaborate with Head Counselors, Area Supervisors, and Directors. Your duties will be varied and may include providing comfort to homesick campers and offering guidance to struggling staff members.
