General Day Camp Instructor


 

Our Day Camp Instructors are the cornerstone of Avid4 Adventure’s programming. Our day camp programs meet our campers where they are through inclusive, progressively challenging outdoor programming. From PreK Learn to Bike/Paddle programming all the way to highly advanced mountain biking, our Instructors are there creating a positive environment for learning and growth. Day Camp Instructors co-lead a group of campers each week with lessons on skills development, team building, safety protocols, and Leave No Trace principles.Instructors are representatives of Avid to both campers and parents and live our core values in everything we do. Programs begin between May and June, location depending, and run through Mid August. 

 

Qualifications:
While at least 1+ years of experience working with kids in a professional or volunteer setting is preferred, candidates with education and/or in depth program area experience  are still highly encouraged to apply. A Basic First Aid and CPR certification is required by the start of camp for all positions.Not yet certified? We can point you in the right direction to get certified before the first day of camp! Driving campers to and from program locations is required for most locations and positions(and receive a compensation bump for the extra responsibilities). Staff must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver's license to drive campers

We believe in transparency about compensation at all of our camp locations. We post all of our base salaries on our website and reward staff with additional compensation and bonuses based on experience and relevant certifications (such as SPI, WFR/WFA, teacher’s license, etc.)
